2015 PENNSYLVANIA RESCUE SERVICE OF THE YEAR
The South Hills Area Council of Governments (SHACOG) Technical Rescue Team has been selected as the 2015 Pennsylvania Rescue Service of the Year. There was a presentation of the award at the Pennsylvania Fire and Emergency Service Institute Dinner in November 2015.
We would like to thank all the team members for their hard work in all the different rescue disciplines. Through your continual training and emergency responses you have made others take notice of what you are doing and this award is a recognition of that dedication to the team. You have taken technical rescue to a level that is not equaled in Western PA. Good Job!
The same thank you goes out to all the SHACOG Chiefs. Through your understanding that technical rescue cannot be done safely and efficiently by one department by itself and the foresight of the need of a unified team, sharing personnel and resources to assist all the SHACOG departments with technical rescue operations. Your continued support has made this team a great success. Thank you.
And a thank you to all the family members who have sacrificed so your loved on could participate in endless training sessions and to past members, rescue instructors and others who have assisted the team over the past eight years. You have helped the team rise to a level of excellence that is now being recognized. We thank you for your assistance.
Good Job Team!
