CONFINED SPACE RESCUE

Confined space rescue involves the rescue or recovery of patients trapped in a confined space or in a place only accessible through confined spaces, such as underground vaults, silos, storage tanks, boilers, or sewers. There are local DPW and Utility personnel working in confined spaces every day.   The team trains yearly on confined space operations exceeding the yearly OHSA requirements.  The TRT has the specialized equipment and meters to effect this type of rescue safely.  Some of the specialized equipment are Scott SKA PAK AT in line respirator system with DBI-SALA full body harnesses, Con-Space inline communication system, Yates SPEC Pack patient packaging devices, SKED, CMC CRS2 4:1 systems, SKEDCO Tripods, Scott RIT PAK, Retrieval poles, and heated ventilation equipment.
